The unival MBX inspection scanner combines unique and patented technologies for superior detection performance against narcotics, explosives, cash and other contraband.
The unival MBX uses the latest X-Ray backscatter technology which can image cars, trucks and people. The X-Ray backscatter technology is highly sensitive to organic materials such as drugs, explosives, cash, stowaways (humans), and other types of threats and contraband. Since the unival MBX does not have a tunnel to restrict scanned objects, it can scan any sized object including passenger vehicles, trucks, Pallets, ULD containers, and even airplanes. With its unique NanoDose technology, unival MBX delivers top performance while maintaining the lowest X-Ray dose of any cargo or vehicle inspection scanner. The optimized detectors are highly sensitive to low X-Ray levels.
The unival MBX is designed to operate in extreme humid, hot or cold conditions and its open software architecture enables effective integration and communications with other systems. The unival MBX can be mounted on a wide range of truck chassis and trailers.
unival MBX can drive next to stationary vehicles at a speed in the range of 1.0 – 20.0 kph.
The unival MBX can be stationary while vehicles drive next to it at a speed in the range of 1.0 – 20.0 kph.
Both unival MBX and scanned vehicles can be in motion with a relative speed between them in the range of 1.0 – 20.0 kph.
3 m high at 1 m from scanner. Scan a car or delivery truck up to 3 m high at a distance of 1 m from unival MBX.
4 m high at 2.2 m from scanner. The unival MBX can scan a high-cube container with a Hight of 4 m at a distance of 2.2 m from the scanner.
With a scanning speed range of 1.0 – 20.0 kph, unival MBX offers the highest scanning speed of any mobile cargo inspection scanner.
The unival MBX operates at an X-Ray energy no less than 300 keV. In contrast, conventional X-Ray backscatter systems has a peak energy of 225 kV.
Due to its highest X-Ray energy source, unival MBX has a steel equivalent penetration of 13 mm (guaranteed), and 12 mm typical, measured at a scanning speed of 1.5 kph.
The unival MBX is equipped with two high-capacity air conditioning units for maximum cooling in hot climates. The scanner is further equipped with heating elements for cold weather environments.
The components of unival MBX system are mounted inside a weather-sealed enclosure and hence can withstand high temperature and humidity, in a range no less than 45% - 90% humidity at 25o C.
The unival MBX delivers the lowest radiation dose to crew and scanned people compared to any other cargo inspection system.
All vehicle body building changes are approved by Mercedes-Benz, thus giving full MB base warranty for the Mercedes Sprinter. The van can be serviced by all Mercedes workshops worldwide (vehicle only).
