The VPScan is a vapour detection system designed for the detection and identification of explosives, cocaine, and other illicit substances. It combines portable air sampling with sensitive analysis to screen cargo, containers, trucks, and other items without opening them.

The screening process consists of two stages: sampling and analysis. Air samples can be collected from a large container or truck in approximately three minutes. With a detection limit of 0.01 ppq, VPScan is designed to detect low vapour-pressure substances, including cocaine and plastic explosives.
