RF Technology

Digital Wideband Jamming

Developed and manufactured in Germany, the unival XWJ2 digital wideband jammers represent the latest technology in this field. Every product is manufactured in-house by our highly skilled technical team of mechanical and electronic RF engineers. Even most of our antennas are designed and manufactured in-house to ensure the highest degree of performance, reliability, and compatibility with our smart-digital jamming systems.

New technologies like band-selective jamming, rotating aerials, and customized power supplies allow our clients to enhance their capabilities to counter future threats. Based on one platform (hardware and software), the modular XWJ2 system can be turned into the required jamming system for vehicle/convoy-based, portable, or stationary scenarios. Each module can operate as a subsystem or independently as a stand-alone jammer with its own programming DDS/FPGA board.

Next‑Generation Jamming Technology

New XWJ2 Modular

Jamming Module

Here is a more professional and technically refined version:

Advanced XWJ2 Modular Jamming Architecture

The new XWJ2 modular jamming module features a precision-engineered housing manufactured from a single solid aluminum block using advanced CNC machining. The enclosure is produced as two matching halves, ensuring exceptional RF shielding performance, mechanical robustness, and optimal electromagnetic isolation. This design provides maximum RF integrity while maintaining a compact and rugged form factor suitable for demanding operational environments.

To ensure reliable long-term operation, each module incorporates an integrated thermal management system. Passive heat dissipation is included as standard, while active cooling can be enabled automatically or manually depending on the operational profile. For extended jamming missions exceeding 5 to 10 minutes of continuous transmission, integrated high-efficiency cooling fans provide additional thermal stabilization, ensuring sustained performance and maximum amplifier protection.

Intelligent XWJ2 Software Suite

The new XWJ2 software platform provides an intuitive and user-friendly interface while offering extensive programming flexibility for advanced users. All jamming parameters can be configured individually, allowing operators to tailor system performance to specific mission requirements.

Behind the graphical interface, the software utilizes a range of proprietary algorithms that simplify configuration and optimize operational effectiveness. Every Unival amplifier is uniquely registered within the software database and is automatically recognized upon connection. Based on the detected amplifier type, the software dynamically enables only the parameters and functions applicable to that specific hardware configuration.

Furthermore, calibration data stored within the amplifier is automatically imported, allowing the software algorithms to optimize output settings, frequency allocations, sweep characteristics, and power distribution according to the exact hardware performance profile. This eliminates manual calculations and significantly reduces setup time.

Flexible Mission Profile Management

The XWJ2 programming environment supports up to eight independent operational profiles per jamming module.

Within each profile, operators can configure up to fifty individual frequency ranges with customizable start and stop frequencies, sweep patterns, modulation schemes, transmission characteristics, and output parameters. During operations, these profiles can be selected instantly via local controls, remote interfaces, or directly through the software.

The software continuously validates all programmed parameters against the detected hardware capabilities. As a result, only technically permissible configurations can be deployed, effectively eliminating operator errors and preventing system misconfiguration.

Real-Time Performance Visualization

A unique feature of the XWJ2 platform is its integrated real-time visualization engine. The software immediately displays the operational impact of all programmed settings through dynamic graphical representations.

Operators can visualize calculated jamming effectiveness, output power allocation, sweep rates, signal distribution, and estimated field strength across the selected frequency spectrum. This provides unprecedented situational awareness during both configuration and operational phases.

First-in-Class Integrated Jamming Ecosystem

The XWJ2 represents a new generation of electronic warfare technology where hardware, software, calibration data, and operational algorithms are seamlessly integrated into a single ecosystem.

By combining intelligent amplifier recognition, automated optimization, profile-based mission programming, and real-time performance visualization, the XWJ2 delivers a level of operational simplicity, reliability, and effectiveness that sets a new benchmark for modular jamming systems.
