unival group announces new production site in Serbia to strengthen manufacturing base
unival group is preparing to open a new production facility near Belgrade, Serbia, marking an important step in the company’s transition from system integrator to original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The site will serve as a central hub for the production, assembly, and testing of vehicle and cargo inspection systems, reinforcing unival’s manufacturing capacity and global supply chain.
Located in a modern industrial zone near Serbia’s capital, the facility is designed to support high-scale production and end-to-end system testing. It covers approximately 2,500 square meters with a height of more than 10 meters, divided into dedicated areas for assembly, testing, and logistics. Dual truck entrances will allow drive-through testing for car and truck scanners under real operational conditions, ensuring every system meets unival’s quality standards before delivery.
The second floor will host offices for management, administration, marketing, and software development, providing an open and collaborative space for cross-functional work once completed.
“This production facility has been specially designed and built for the assembly and testing of car scanners,” said Dipl.-Ing. Milinko Tankosic, Technical Project Manager at unival group. “It is a safe and efficient environment that enables us to produce on a large scale and ensure every system meets our quality standards.”
The new site represents unival’s long-term vision to strengthen its operational foundation and deliver advanced security systems more efficiently to clients worldwide.
“This facility marks the next chapter in our journey,” said David Vollmar, Managing Director of unival group. “By building our own production base, we gain greater control over quality, time, and innovation — three elements that define our approach to security technology.”
The facility is currently in its final construction phase, with completion and operational readiness expected in the coming months. Once opened, it will become a cornerstone of unival’s global production network, supporting its headquarters in Bonn, Germany, and its international offices across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the United States.
