Security Snapshot:

Why Counter Drone Systems Are Becoming Essential

Small drones have quickly moved from hobby gadgets to tools that can create serious security concerns. In recent years, airports, ports, oil and gas facilities, prisons, and public events have experienced disruptions caused by unauthorized drones. These devices can be used for surveillance, smuggling, interference with operations, or even to carry harmful payloads.

The challenge is that drones are inexpensive, widely available, and easy to operate from a distance. Traditional perimeter security systems were not designed to detect or stop airborne threats approaching from above or beyond fences.

As a result, many critical infrastructure operators are now looking at dedicated counter drone systems that can detect, track, and safely neutralise unauthorized drones before they pose a risk to operations, safety, or public security.

Solutions such as detection sensors, jamming technologies, and integrated monitoring platforms are becoming an important layer of modern security infrastructure. Unmanned aerial threats are one of the areas addressed within the anti drone and countermeasure solutions offered by unival group.  Learn more about our counter drone solutions.
