Our aim is nothing less than to build the checkpoint of the future.
Checkpoints are currently experiencing a renaissance, as the requirements for checking people, vehicles or the flow of goods have again increased rapidly.
It is therefore all the more important to eliminate known weaknesses and to transfer an analogous concept into a connected and smart future.
A major problem at almost all checkpoints is the too low flow rate, which often leads to traffic jams and long delays. This is due to the fact that the existing resources of technology and personnel cannot be used in a target-oriented way and either only random checks can be carried out or identical, very extensive detailed checks are applied for all persons, vehicles or objects. This situation is familiar at all checkpoints whether at an airport or at border crossings.
At the same time, checkpoints and border stations are also a popular target for attacks, especially since there is often high collateral damage to achieve.
In the area of personal controls in industrial environments, for example for loss prevention requirements, delays are also causing financial issues. Employees are entitled for compensation, if waiting times are too long. In addition, there is an unpleasant situation, when a very intensive check often violates privacy and thus causes annoyance and HR concerns. The usual solution is then to carry out randoms checks only, resulting in increasing losses immediately.
In the area of customs-specific vehicle and personal check usually also the method of random checks only applies as a feasible solution. This results in losses in the billions due to customs fraud or smuggled goods, drugs and illegal immigrants crossing borders.
It is therefore essential to build a modular checkpoint exactly according to the desired request for result and to be able to combine all potential technologies and subsystems for the evaluation of data. However, such a flexible alignment is not possible from the manufacturer’s point of view, especially since none of the worldwide existing manufacturers has all technologies available.

The future of the checkpoint is therefore in many respects not only the protection and monitoring of properties of borders or industrial facilities but also the control of processes and of people. The future of the checkpoint is to provide order, to inform and at best to maintain it, and in doing so to move organically into the background. The best procedure is the one that functions smoothly and with ease.
The future of the checkpoint is therefore also the future of security and this must adapt to up-to-date approach and comply with the requirements of public security.
